Building upon our winning ways …

Georgia Tech was one of fifteen 2012 ACE-Sloan awardee institutions (only six of which were research institutions) within the national evaluation. Georgia Tech demonstrated a best practice in three categories of culminating faculty careers: the development of a legacy; the transition into retirement; and the continuing involvement of faculty in the academic community post-retirement.

As an example of one of the distinctive attributes of Georgia Tech’s retirement program, retired tenured Georgia Tech faculty are eligible to receive fully subsidized health benefits for themselves and their dependents as well as participate in the Medicare Bridge program.
